Byron B's Micro Thread

Hey coach, wrapping up my GF testing week. Improved swim from 16'/1000 to 15:03/1000, improved bike from FTP of 250 to 262, but my 5K really stunk up the place. Went from 7:05 mile spilt pace with a vDot of 44 to a 7:25 mile split with a vDot of 42. Its oppressively hot down here in LA but still disappointed after all the work Ive put in. Moving into the advanced HIM plan and wondering if I should make any adjustments with the latest information. Thanks in advance!

  • Just for additional clarification was referring to potentially a run focused block type of adjustment or something like that.

  • Byron, odds are it's the weather. I went to NH last weekend and ran 20" faster PER MILE b/c there was no humidity. :) your success on swim/bike bodes well for your HIM training ... No changes other than suggesting you plan on fueling / hydrating those runs like a pro!
