Race Rehersal Week
Howdy! This weekend is scheduled RR #1 for Timberman. I was thinking... Is it really necessary? I know one of the key goals is to nail pacing, nutrition, etc. but I feel like I just did Quassy so not sure another RR will help.
On a separate, yet related note, I'm having seem serious motivation issues since Quassy. (Your last post mentioned its hard to get back into the groove after downtime). Some of my "symptoms" sound like overtraining which I'm pretty sure can't be the case, (2 weeks off after Quassy. I had planned 2 weeks light but turned into "off" by a stomach bug.). I seem to be shifting/skipping workouts more frequently than I usually do and I'm having a hard time distinguishing cause vs, effect. I'm not sure what's going on. I have more motivation to "just ride", preferably in a group than a real training session. Running just makes me depressed. Not sure if my "layoff" caused some loss of fitness and now my slower workouts are making me feel worse mentally.
Sorry for the rambling. I guess my first question is about RR #1 and the rest is just "how do I get my mojo back"? (Which may require professional, non-coaching help. :whistling:)
Any input is welcomed!
