Leslie's micro thread - week with no bike

Hey Coach Patrick - I am going to be at IM LP in a few weeks supporting my hubby, and without my bike from July 22 - July 30.  We will have someone to help watch the kiddos, so I should have no problem getting in swims and runs.  Although my number one focus during that trip is to create as little stress as possible - I do plan (and have my husband's support) to get in as many of my planned workouts as possible.....except for all of my bike workouts :( 

What is the best approach during that time?

  • Leslie thanks for the detail. I think that you should plan on the interval run and long run sessions. The rest of the time try to swim in Mirror Lake (he can sit in a chair and watch the kiddos on the beach!) as you can or get in a nice 45' run with strides at the end. It's all about staying fit, not about serious training here. Besides, spectating an IM is 100x worse than racing, so you'll have plenty of fatigue!! :)
