Power at altitude
Any advice for power targets when climbing at altitude? My FTP tests are Np- 306, cadence 90 at flat-ish course (5300') on TT bike 53 ring. When I climb, especially at 7000' feet or above, I can only maintain Np-255, cadence 85. I climb on Compact gearing 34 front, 25 rear. Is it the altitude, low cadence (more muscle strain?), my perception? SHould I use a 20% reduction as a power target for climbing?
