Patrick, i need some help with next 2 weeks schedule. I'm currently in the intermediate plan for IMMT.   i was not able to attend IMMT camp this past weekend but i did do the camp workout schedule at home.   i will be in mont tremblant to train this Friday the 18th (arriving at 2pm) and leaving sunday the 20th in the afternoon.  1st question is....could you help me with a workout for the weekend.  keep in mind i'll only have half day friday and half day sunday to train.  2nd  question, i need help altering my training for July 23rd through the 28th.  I will be in San Francisco with no access to a bike and probably no swim venue.  should i do some extra work before san francisco due to the fact i'll have 6 days off of biking and swimming?  I may try to find a pool somewhere.

  • JC - we can do this. But...you'll be in MT to train but you can only train 2 x 1/2 days? If that's the case, I'd swim 45' / run long on Friday (lake center closes at 3 so go there first. Then you can run one loop. Do whatever on Sat then plan on riding one loop ~3 hours on Sunday.

    Re SF there are great spin studios there to kick your butt #triathlon-style, just google them. And more pools than you could imagine too. I'd suggest recovering Monday post MT ride day, but Tuesday you could do the Wed bike/run to get that in. Then in SF you have a tempo run and a long run to get in, with swims when you can. If no swim is the option, the run 30-45' a day just to stay fit (outside of those specific workouts I mentioned previously).
  • awesome thanks...one more question.....if i'm doing my long run this friday then what should i do this thursday? I'm thinking short run and swim?

  • Yes perfect - 30' run with strides and a good 3k in pool. Just remember you need to pack all the right stuff for Tremblant.
