Garmin Fenix 2
I bought one to replace my 910xt that had the barometic altimeter failure, thinking I'd sell the replacement 910xt on eBay to help offset the cost of the Fenix 2. I was looking forward to the Fenix 2 based on a pretty good DC Rainmaker review and the fact that it pairs with the HRM Run to give you the advanced running metrics.
Having used the watch now for 3 runs and a pool swim, I am totally unimpressed and will return it to Amazon and use the refurbed 910xt that Garmin sent me. Aside from being heavy and "chunkier" than the 910xt (amazingly, yes, that is possible), I find it nearly impossible to read while running or in rest intervals in the pool with tinted goggles. Even after fiddling with the contrast, the white-on-black display just doesn't work and the display is quite small. Contrasted with the 910xt or my Forerunner 620 (which is AWESOME) this watch is just not ready for primetime.
Maybe I'm a total outlier here. Anyone have a Fenix 2 and care to share their thoughts?
