taper?

I am beginning week 7 of the get faster beginner plan tomorrow. My A race is the Olympic distance on August 9. Shouldn't I have a taper in there before the race or keep going with the schedule?

    Hi Rosanne,

    • Do GF Wk7 this week.
    • Then load up the Beginner Short Course plan next Monday, setting it to end on Sunday, August, 10th. That will put in you into Wk20 of the SC plan, which is a taper week.
