  • @Attila... thats quite an improvement.... nice work!

And so it begins, the volume build for CHOO...Short and easy 4 mile run pre-ride... Was planning a 4.5hr ride today , but traffic , newly paved chipseal (never seen this in NH) , and a few other things beyond my control, shortened up the day, but got in a little over 4hrs and made em count....

Pretty quiet around here? Hope everyone is out hammering this weekend.
  • @Tim - nice work!

I rode 4 hours today as well. I tried to go up every hill in the area and ended up with just over 5,000 feet of climbing. A guy on a road bike came up to me because he said he does not see many tri bike going up the hills in the area. I told him I was getting for IMCHOO. He was a nice guy and I ended up riding 2.5 of the 4 hours with him.
  • I got 4 hours 48 minutes in! About two hours in I made a course correction from last week to add the extra thirty minutes and ended up off roading in a mud puddle. New bike shoes got the brunt of it, and afterward I couldn't clip in. Rode about 3 miles and found a water spicket. After I cleaned the cleats, I got clipped in but couldn't get out of one of them. Rode kinda scared all the way home! Because I flunked my big day protocol nutrition wise, I did a six mile run today after cycling and got every calorie, ounce, and mg of sodium right. Still did not like the way my belly felt, but no need to stop at the portapotty.

I am getting excited about upcoming camp! I'm feeling ready except for nutrition and the swim (tendonitis in the shoulder), but I think it's all gonna come together!

  • Nice rides Tim and William.

Son's swimming championships today and the season is finally over. He did great but 6am wake-up, team tents setup and on-deck for 5:30 hrs as head timer trashed me. Who would think that just standing could be so tiring. Came home and just sat like a zombie for a while. Got @ss in gear and at least got out for an hour and road my hamster in a cage wheel ride near my house.

Tomorrow I'm doing run/ride I was supposed to do today and adding time to bike to get some more miles in.
  • Good work today all! I got in 95 bike w 5.25 run. Will post ride files and/or upload to Strava when I get a free moment.

    Work works!

  • I hope my training weeks get a little more orderly as we go along. I'm hitting the most important ones for now and moving on. Got in my Sat ride today. Managed 4 hrs on the bike and a 45 min run after that. All and all a good day and looking forward to the build over the next few weeks.
