Joe C. IMMT now sick week 18

Patrick, I ran into a snag flying back from san francisco this past Monday.  I have gotten sick. I have missed all workouts this week so far.  i am in the intermediate plan for IMMT. Here's my thoughts, please comment/add suggestions.  I am hoping i can do my long run tomorrow(friday), swim on saturday then RR #2 on sunday.  however, if i don't feel any better i may have to scrap all of it and try to start back up next week.  what do you recommend if i can't get any of these workouts in this weekend?  I'm kind of freaking out since i had to miss my long biking this past weekend due to being out of town and now i'm missing this whole week. on the other hand, i want to get to that starting line healthy even if it means being under trained a bit.  i don't want to risk digging myself into a whole and then sick on race day.......

  • Joe, I hear you. Plenty of time to still sharpen up....but I'd rather you ride Sunday vs run. You can't ignore what your body is telling you...rest, hydrate and sleep.
