Is it a no-no to do part of your RR #2 inside?
My partner will be up at 4 am tomorrow to drive an hour to a 25 K trail run. I have my Race sim tomorrow for the Lonestar half, and I'll probably be excited and nervous and will get up the same time she does. Trouble is, it doesn't get light until about 6:45, and that's pushing it. Can I do some inside, maybe half, and then drive 15 or 20 minutes to my outdoor location and do the rest? Or is that a bad idea? Thanks!

My 2 cents, you are most likely going to be waking up that early on race day anyways so you might want to practice it. See how your food goes down and how you feel. Then head out to your course.
Good luck keep us posted
Personally I'd try to stick to the complete ride without the break. It's not like the 15-20 minutes will totally kill the RR but it is a chunk of time that would simulate a mechnical failure or something similar.
I like the suggestion to get your morning nutrition down then get out there when it's light out.
