Natalie Pilon's Micro Thread

Hi Coach P,

Just received my revised Triathlon Season Road Map from Coach Rich.  Having just completed IMLP, I have a HIM coming upon August 31st followed by my first ever stand alone marathon, Chicago, on October 12.  He has me entering the HIM plan in week 11 and ending on a RR Aug 31st for Big George then transitioning into the Marathon Plan. He suggested I reach out to you to ask whether I should hack the runs for the HIM plan in order to get ready for Chicago? 

This being my first marathon,I am looking for a little extra guidance. I expect it will hurt a lot more than the run during an Ironman. *gulp*

  • Congrats again in such a great race!! I am not so worried about your training pre-George. You could probably just get loose and rest up and do well. Which is why I don't really want you running too much too soon. Just not worth it. Would rather you rest more now so that we can have a quicker transition to the marathon post the Half. Make sense?
