Hi Coach P.

The short story is this: I did camp last weekend in Madison. Everything went fine riding/running wise, but, I developed a nasty case of saddle soars. Ouch. Saw the Doc on Tuesday & am on antibiotics & stuff is starting to heal.

I did the Wednesday ride this week on the trainer & ran yesterday. Running is fine but the biking is not so good & I really would like not to cause more irritation.

So, my question is: What should I do this weekend? Thinking that the Saturday & Sunday long rides are out for this weekend. Should I do a good open water swim followed by a run?

  • You might be able to ride standing up. Should be able to get in about an hour that's a phenomenal work out. Otherwise I would plan on the second long run on Sunday up to 90', Sat is anything you want to do.
