"0" elimination for IM racing

This may seem like an odd question (and I'm not even sure I'm asking it correctly) 6 days before an IM, but does everyone eliminate the "0" or coasting data while riding the bike portion of an Ironman? I would think by doing this your watt average (&NP) would be more true across the 112 miles. I've been training with the "0s" and am not sure I should switch it up this close, but I'm also tempted because there are little to no stops in a race vs a training ride. Thoughts?

  • Nope. Keep the zeroes. You do, in fact, coast during a ride and keeping the zeroes in data yields a more true reflection of how you actually rode the bike.
