Mark Lane's IMLOU RR2 Report

Usually it's 90+ deg. and humid here, but Saturday it was 70 deg., cloudy, with light rain showers. I adjusted my hydration plan back a little for the weather, which was good practice for me.

Bike: Got in 102 mi's. First hour was very conservative, the settled into my "should" pace FTP237W X .68=161W. NP=162W, IF=.68, TSS=272, Avg.P=152W, VI=1.06. Kept HR mostly in the 120's. I've gotten better at getting AvgP closer to NP, but it's still a work in progress. Never rode hard, and felt like I could run coming off of the bike.

Run: ~6mi at my pacing guidline, felt pretty good, and could've gone farther ok.

Take aways: Cut my fluids back a little too much on bike, seems like ~32 ozs should be absolute minimum. On the run I need to do gels early, and switch to chomps later because when I feel bad I can still get the chomps down.
