Thanks, all! I'm out.

I gotta bolt!

I'm at a crossroads in my 'tri' life.  I truly love the cross training and multisport lifestyle.  I stress to others that it's the multisport aspect that keeps the body strong and healthy, especially as we age up.

I have no intentions on backing off.  But, I'm gonna switch some things up for a few reasons.

The biggest factor is that I will have 2 in college within 2 yrs.  As a guy who would prob will never KQ, coaching is a 'want', not a 'need'.  The concepts from EN will always be the foundation of my training.  It's just too efficient not to be.  I will be taking the philosophy of purpose, variety, timing with me.  I will lose touch with all the new tweaks to the plans that RnP come up with, but I will always have the 'bench press' philosophy and workworks backbone.  Pretty sure my work weeks will mimic GF workouts but I do enjoy putting the long miles in on the weekends.  Using the weekends to define long as normal to my engine.  It's a system that I've been using this year and it has worked superbly to this point.  My hope is that this approach will keep me fit for ultra events and will allow me to drop into a 'plan' for any IM or similar as short as 8-12 weeks out.   I don't expect to race too much until this college thing shows me how much play money is on the table but I will be racing long when the opportunity arises.  The norm will be to train my a$$ off just stay beast mode and race an occasional sprint or oly locally, then do a last second IM or HIM specific 8-12 weeks out if it works out.  Wait!....sounds a little bit like EN, doesn't it?

I've learned so much from all of you guys and gals.  Great knowledge, always willing to help others, unequalled support and encouragement.  You guys are top shelf.

Thanks for putting up with my random thoughts and redundant questions.

Feel free to gimme a shout if you are ever in Atlanta and need anything.  I'm in Suwanee which is one of the NE burbs, up by Lake Lanier.  Lots of good riding up here and within an hour of some pretty strong gap riding.  Work weeks are hit or miss cuz my schedule is crazy but weekends are usually doable.

Again, thanks for everything!
