EN tri kit questions

I'm considering getting an EN tri top/bottom (female).

Does the top have a long back to it so that it covers your low back when you are in aero position? How does it handle massive amounts of sweat - does it wick off/away?

Is the padding on the shorts thick or thin? Has anyone experienced excessive chaffing/rubbing?

Thanks!  Kay

  • Hi Kay, I have both this years and last years tri top and this years top is considerably shorter.  I've wore it once and have since gone back to last years top that is several inches longer.  My guess is unless you have a very short torso, you will probably have the back of the jersey creep up on you when you are in aero.

  • Kay,

    Look here. http://members.endurancenation.us/Forums/tabid/57/aft/14970/Default.aspx

And look on Page 1 of 4, and click on the photo link that Anne posted on 28 Mar 2014 06:13 PM. She had a local seamstress add about 2" of material added to the bottom of the tri top and that could help you out as well? Check it out.

    Good Luck.
  • Thanks for the tips guys. I have a long torso and I don't like orange (several comments from that link you sent say the color is more orange).  Hmmmmmm....will have to re-think this.
  • I'm sorry, but the kit isn't orange. It's a bright red.

Lots of pics in our galleries on Smugmug

  • Rich:
Just going on the comments. I've never seen one in person - except on the IM LOU course and I wasn't exactly concerned about what color they were at that time. When you say "kit" are you referring to the one piece men's suit? I prefer the top and bottom combo. Do you have some intel on how thick or thin the padding in the shorts are?

    Thanks, Kay
