The IM Chattanooga 2015 Key Race Who's In Thread!

Ironman Chattanooga 2015 is an Endurance Nation Key Race. Please go here to learn more about our Key Race program.

I just spent 4 days in Chattanooga for our first inaugural IMChat training camp and came away very impressed with the course and the city. Go here to read my first overview of the bike course. Detailed screencasts of the bike and run courses coming soon.

And I think the timing and location of the race are perfect for many, many people.

So I wanted to start the conversation now about who's planning to join us in Chattanooga for 2015! We have close to 30 racing this year (at least, that's how many have signed into the EN event spreadsheet here. Sign up if you have not), and nearly 40 athletes put their numbers in the hat for the IMChatt guaranteed reg lottery, with 16 slots allocated to this race.

Its the whole reason I'm volunteering so I can get in next year and race with the coolest tri team ever! Nothing beats a key race.

I'm IN! Totally pumped to rock this race w/ all you EN'ers. Also super duper happy that it is 2 hrs from home (Atlanta) as opposed to the previous treks I've made to IMLP and IM Moo. Race is 13 months away, so I look forward to chatting with y'all about SOMETHING ELSE for the next 8 months

I'll be volunteering this year so I can race next year. I've already read the bike overview and look forward to the screencasts. I've never raced a 142.6 so CHOO will be a new experience! LP was awesome this year with all the EN team there so I can't wait to see what CHOO will be like with twice as many!

A group from Detroit will be road tripping to volunteer in Bike gear bags this year. And we will race in 2015. Loved racing at Key Race IMMT this year and attending camp. Hoping I can do both (my baby goes to college next fall, so camp is a maybe depending on dates). I am looking forward to a better bike split and no (bonehead) crashes!

Registered for 2015! Am I the only one a little nervous about the potential of possibly only have 15:45 to complete this race? (7:30 start with expectation of all athletes in the water by 8:15 but still a 12:00 finish line cutoff) Did I read that right? I'm certainly hoping that leaves me plenty of time, but ya never know. I was 16:29 in FL in 2012 but I'm faster now but still nervous!

@Kim - yes, checking that box about the sub-17 hr limit was almost as stressful as clicking submit on the $700+! Time to sign up for Challenge Knoxville and some half mary's to focus mind in the near term rather than 367 days from now.

Hey everyone! Im your Race Captain again for this fantastic course- we had a BLAST last year so can't wait to get started. Make sure you check out the IMCHOO EN camp- first hand knowledge of the course is always a plus and of share with your friends in your town, if you have friends you know racing IMCHOO why not have them on EN or at the camp with you! If I can help with anything, don't hesitate to reach out!
