week 12 HIM Int weekend

I've held near 100% to all of the workouts this week but heading into the weekend I will be working (yes laboring on labor day weekend) out of town Sat and Sun. I plan to bring my bike and trainer to use in the hotel room. Sat calls for 30min run with 2x1200 z4 which I should be able to do on the hotel treadmill. the Sat bike is 180min (MS1 2x15' z4; MS 2 2x20' z3; MS 3 remainder z2-z3). I really want to put the time in the saddle to ensure my fitness is increasing but I remember reading in one of the posts not to do more than 120min on the trainer at any given time. Sunday calsl for 30min run with 2x800 z4 and 120 min bike with emphasis of time in z3.

do you recommend to stick to the plan as written or change for limitations of riding on a trainer (just will not be able to get out to ride on road)?  thanks

  • Week 12 is bubble time...full time it is. 8wks to race is time in saddle to fuel, pace, etc. Bonus points to you for getting it done on the road.
