Karen 70.3 Princeton

Hi coaches,

My son is a US Marine and he has a surprise 96 hour liberty and I'm going to see him.......the great news!!!  I'm registered for 70.3 Princeton and this week-end is the last gigantic training session, which I'm going to miss.  What can I do when I get back to keep the fitness I have?  I'll have running shoes with me this week-end but that's about all I'll have.

  • Karen, AWESOME!!!!!!!!! If you can get in 45' of steady running a day that's great. We can always put some good long rides in next weekend if required, but let's connect next week.

    I had a great week-end with my son Chris!

    I got 2,  45 minute runs and 1 hour pool swim done over the week-end.   I'm on week 18 of HIM.....this Sunday is supposed to be a rest day....... Tuesday B/R, Wed S, Thurs R, Fri S, Sat 56 mile rehearsal/60minR.  Do you think I should add a B to Sunday instead of rest? Or change up the week some how?

    Thanks for your help and CONGRATS on IMMT.....you rock!  I'll be sending huge tailwind from MA to HI for you and all my EN pals!

  • So glad to hear it!! I think we make the call on Sunday when we get there...you might still be tired by the end of the week. Spend this week prepping for that RR!!
