Joe Hallatschek - NOV OS (Wk -1 to Wk +2)
RnP - first off, I am not able to get into the Ironman Tracker to see results, so I will congratulate Patrick when I can actually see the results and am appropriately impressed!
So, I have a new job that has significant travelling. I think the NOV OS begins on 27 Oct - so I am home for test week and that part is ok. Here are my questions:
Week -1: I will generally use the OS prep Week # 4. I will try and find a bike at the local gym (Fort Meade, MD) and do the workout on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Since they are easy workouts, I should be ok working out on a strange bike. If I am not able to find a bike that I can use, should I just walk or run easy?
Week +2: I am at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and have the same constraints. Travel on Monday and back on Friday. If I am not able to find a bike at the gym to use, what should I do in-lieu of a bike workout?

Joe, Looking forward to the NOS again. I have one last race to finish on Sunday. It is my second ever stand alone 1/2 marathon. Looking forward to the race.

Just don't even bother using one of those shitty gym / spin bikes. Just run an extra 1-2x's that week and pick up the normal schedule on the bike when you get back. Done!
