Member status names

Hi all, just wondering what the names mean under certain real names, like "charter member", "basic member", the "wicked smart" one and "coach" one I can figure out.  But, how many are there?  How do you get them?  Not looking for any status, just an explanation.  Thanks guys.

  • Dan,

Some (New, Basic, Advanced, Veteran) correspond to the amount of posts you make. Others have special meanings (Coach, Wicked Smart, Charter) that correspond with the members status with EN.
  •  Thanks Cary.  Was it you who had a recent race in NYC or am I off?  If so, everything go as planned?

  • I had a 4mi NYRR run yesterday in central park - I PR'd despite doing OS week 18 30/30s the day before - things went better than planned. This stuff works, as you know from your run last week. image

    Are you in NYC?
  •  Cary, no, I'm upstate in Oneonta.  Not that I was stalking you, I had no idea about yesterday, I thought I read something a few weeks back about a half mary or something and thought I mention it.  Keep hammering man!

  • Dan,

I did NYC half about a month ago, I came close to my 13.1 PR, but I had to stop and stretch my IT band. It was my best executed 13.1 by far (by using en protocol), and i felt better after this one than any other. Thanks for asking.

Never been to Oneonta, my my friends have brought me back some Book's chicken from there

And I WILL see you at IM 70.3 Syracuse.

  •  Cary, We just had Brooks the other night, funny you mention it.  I don't live terribly close to syracuse, 1.5 hrs., but I am planning on riding the course this summer, if you don't mind screaming kids at 6am you are more than welcome to stay here and we can drive up and back being that I would make a day trip of it anyway.  Just a thought.  Glad to hear other EN peeps will be there!

  • Hi Dan,

Thank you for the offer. I do not believe I'll be going to the course for any pre-rides, after IMLP i'll start doing "normal summer stuff"  for a while trying not to lose too much fitness, then do a quick ramp up for Syracuse.

Be sure to check out these Syracuse 70.3 threads, Kevin may organize an EN training group ride is there's interest..

  • Excellent, thank you for those threads.  I was wondering if anyone was doing them!  Have fun at IMLP, you'll love it.  It was my first IM last year.
