Laura's Roadmap

Hi Coach!
I am about to finish up my season with my first marathon next Monday. I do not have anything planned for next year so far, but I do not know what to load up after my marathon. I know I load up the outseason plan, but not sure which one and when to end. I can start my outseason plan November 2nd. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Carroll,

    On 10/27 load up the OS plan to end on 2/1. Then a couple weeks after the marathon or when you feel ready, just drop into that plan and pick up the workouts scheduled. There's no need for you to test on the run, because of the marathon, and not a problem for you to wait until the scheduled bike test in wk8. Or you can do that bike test whenever in place of the scheduled interval workout.

    What were your race times this year?

  • I finished two sprints. Both completed within a week. First sprint was completed in 1:37 and the second was completed in 1:45. (Second time weather was abnormally hot, I think that is why I did worse.) I am definitely not as fast as I want to be, but they were my personal bests. I completed a sprint last year (before joining the EN team) and I came in at 2:13, so I did improve.
