Hi,

I'm brand new to EN. I'm not sure I have any real questions yet. I've provided my 2015 race calendar: Eagleman 70.3, Steelhead 70.3 and Maryland IM.

I'm starting the OS plan. If I want to add a limited amount of strength training and swimming, what would you recommend? Also, I'd like to focus on achieving my race weight. Any thoughts on nutrition?

    Please visit the November OutSeason forum here and begin plugging yourself into the vibe of your teammates training alongside of you. Note that we've included a "core and swim preparation" strength routine on the Mondays and Fridays of your plan. See the Nutrition section of the wiki for tons of information about that. 

  • Based on the info in the Extending the Run podcast, I'm considering a late January 1/2 marathon in Chicago. Any thoughts? It may be pretty cold. I've done most of my November OS running on the treadmill.

    Go for it. You'll be fine...likely cold, but fine
