CVille Matt Macro Thread

Hi Rich - so I'm already off plan. Broke/severely sprained my big toe this weekend.  Either way, it's taped up and it'll be a couple weeks before I'm running again.  Do I just send you a note when I'm good to go again and re-plan the start of the Outseason off cycle from everyone else?  Not sure yet how much fitness I'll lose so not sure if a "preseason" block will be needed.  Guess there's always swimming with one-legged wall push-offs.

Wow, that sucks! Are you able to ride the bike at all?

  • Rich, can't ride the bike either.  can't put the pressure yet on the ball of my foot.  will give it a try once swelling goes down.  I figure swimming will come first, then biking, then run will resume last.  Matt

Given the time of year, etc, just get the toe healed up and get back at it when you can. No rush to do anything, really. It is what it is. Maybe hit the Core stuff on the OS plan 3x/wk and swim if that works for you? Again, what you do / don't do with this foot for the next 2-3wks won't make any difference on race day next year so not worth stress about it.
