OK- Good news. My dinner date with local friends is gonna happen Friday night. So that frees me up to meet the EN gang on Saturday for dinner! Only catch is I'll probably need a ride. I'm staying at a friend's home in Cambridge and driving to/from MD with an OBX friend who is staying at the Hyatt. SO I don't have transportation once I get to Cambridge. I might be able to get the OBX friend to join us and then he can transport me to/from dinner. But if not- can someone help get me to dinner?
Yay! That's great news, Nemo! Kate and I (and my DB) will all be at the HI Express in Easton... not sure where Scott is staying... but I am sure one of us can get you to/from dinner. I am off to a chiro appt now then will make a reservation. Still not sure where yet... but I'll figure it out when I get back (actually happy to have a few options). Maybe I'll pick one of the 2 in Cambridge so it will be easier. I'll add you +1 in case your friend can join us.

Okay... since Nemo is in Cambridge and Scott is E and Kate and I are W of Cambridge, I figured eating in Cambridge will be easiest for all of us (since we'll already be there to rack our bikes, etc.). Since Chris and his fam can't make it, I opted for a bit earlier -- so we're not bored to tears after bike racking and so Scott can make the trek "home."

Hi Team, Sorry for the late check in. I sort of took some time away from all things tri after St George. Bouncing back hasn't been so easy... The 10k I did this morning in the heat after a long night of drinking (at a wedding for the weekend) wasn't a confidance builder either. We will see what happens next weekend, I could probably at least make it through the race. Anyway, Becky, I haven't figure out my exact plan yet, but do you think there is enough time to change the reservation to include me if I confirm with you in the next couple days? If not don't worry about it. Looking forward to meeting some more EN peeps next weekend. Wei
Sure, I'll call today and see if I can add 2 spots (one for Kate's friend, one for Wei)... and I've got an extra spot for Nemo's friend (who's a maybe) if all else fails. Will keep you posted.

FYI - I invited Suzanne Kinsky to join us... she was initially planning to race then dropped out bc of her IMLP schedule... and now, because of her crash, won't be heading to LP for the team training weekend... not sure if she'll make the trip at all or come up the night before... since we have 2 maybe's (Nemo's friend and Wei sounded like he's on the fence), I'm hoping we'll be okay...
Sounds good. I'll try to firm up with my friend if he wants to join us or not on Saturday so you know if we need to pull up another chair. But I bet we can make it work either way. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!! That's frankly gonna be the best part of the race weekend for me!

maybe try the place Chris suggested... that's very tex-mex, pretty sure they have margaritas... I can't promise I'm in - depends on the DB who will have been a superstar for standing around all day; and we will have checked out so I'll be ripe for sure.
my EN-esque shorthand for dear boyfriend... there was no abbreviation for that (just husband and wife). I'm actually surprised he offered to come (I didn't ask)...
and, speaking of nothing, I'm new to EN myself (started in December), so I'm excited to meet folks, too... happy to have met Kate at the RR since she's in my hood!
I know that mexican joint well :-) Yes, they have margaritas! Pretty sure I'll be checking them out after the race. THere is also a strong chance the local Tri Club (Cambridge Multisport) folks will be hosting a post race party with some beverages :-) Either way- we'll find a place to party!!
Doesn't look good for me to meet up with the EN crew. Since my tri team waited so long to book rooms we have to stay in Salisbury & our itinerary takes us there Sat afternoon and then home soon after the race.
I will be wearing my EN kit and riding a white Cannondale. Hope to meet some of you!
