new Outseason core and swim plan.....um......????

Hey Coach Patrick,

So I just noticed the Monday and Friday additions of the Outseason core and swim plan on my monday/friday training plan.....but I'm on week 10 of out season and just started freaking out that I'm four weeks away from swim camp.  I have been doing some core and single leg/glute exercise focus - as I usually do in the out season - but usually on workout days.  I've been taking my monday and friday rest days pretty seriously :).  should I start week one of the EN out season core and swim plan?  Add it on to what I'm already doing?   not freak out that I'm already out of shape for IM NZ in less than 5 months??!!!! :)

  • Leslie, you are fine. Please check out those resources (wiki page) and add them in....but last time I checked holding a plank for 60 seconds isn't an IM finishline requirement. This is all bonus "good to have" type stuff!!!
  • Phew! I thought maybe they had a new finish line requirement that you had to hold a plank for your pic at the finish line image

    Thanks coach!
Quick question - is there a forum for the FL training camp peeps? Starting to get excited and wanted to chat with others about cases/travel with bike for the first time/ rental car options etc....

  • Leslie, thanks for having such a great sense of humor. There is not a forum, but I will make one today so stay tuned.
  • @ Leslie, It's not a requirement but you do get extra credit if you do a side plank while they're taking off your timing chip.
  • @Mark I'm all for extra credit!!!
