Training Plan Questions

Since the first week of my free trial had the test days for the bike and the run, I am wondering why these tests are in the first week of my  intermediate off-season plan.  Do people repeat these or should I go to the second week. Also, is this micro forum the right place to put the vo2 max results for the bike and the run, or do we just track those on our own. I am used to uploading my results into Garmin Connect, but I am not sure if I need to communicate these back to EN or just track these on my own. 

Also, I registered for Ironman 70.3 Raleigh on 5/31/15 and wanted to add this to the training calendar.

  • Catherine, not everybody follows the same progression of workouts at the same time. There is guidance in the self coaching guide in the wiki that explains how to handle back to back test weeks. The short answer is no people do not repeat the test.

    Reading this post, it makes me think that you have not gone to the new member central page on the website, which has all of the answers for you. You will want to go to resources/new member central.

    All of your test results should be loaded in the official EN calculators. You can find those under training/EN calculators. You can save the results there, and then see if either the heart rate, pace or power to your profile.if you want to add or change any of your official races for the year, you can do that at any point in time by submitting a new season roadmap of survey to Coach Rich. You can do that under training/TS capital our survey. He will then generate a new roadmap, and send you that link and screen cast.
