Bob Hiller's new and improved Micro Thread (2015)

Patrick, maybe I'm a bit early with this question about changes needed for my NovOS week 4 schedule.   I'm on the Intermediate OS. Our swim team has a meet near Cleveland Nov. 21-23.  The head coach likes to drag me along to our out of town meets.  Nov. 21 is Friday, so I can do my Core/Stretch Cordz before leaving my house for the team bus.  Otherwise, Friday is a recovery day any way.  Saturday I can probably run between prelims and finals either outside or on a treadmill at the hotel if the weather is bad.  I don't really like riding stationary bikes at hotels.  Sunday we only have prelims, so I could do a bike wko on my trainer when I get home that night.  Thanks, Bob

  • Patrick, I should have mentioned this too -- I am running in Cincinnati's Thanksgiving 10K on T-day.  If you are going to look at the weekend before, this may impact your advice.  Thanks again.  BTW, my goal in the 10k is under 48:00.  I went 23:11 in my run test last seek which increased my vDot to 41.   Bob 

  • I think your switcheroo is fine, just know that if you're pretty exhausted by Sunday night you can probably cut that Saturday ride down a bit. I'll be posting some Thanksgiving week guidance shortly, so you won't be left out… I promise. :-) Nice work on the run test!
