Hi Patrick,
Last week I insisted that I get deep massage and had a PTA that has experience in manual PT and agreed.
Good news is that after just one treatment I feel so much more ROM and strength in that ankle.
I'm beginning to see the light at at the end!
When it is appropriate, how should I return to running?
I've been walking but not vigorously due to the pain and swelling.
I'm so excited about this but promise to heed your expert advice.

  • I think we can start up the walk intensity for you, perhaps even using some incline or very terrain as a challenge. Maybe even get in one or two more similar treatments as they are so effective. So aggressive walking this week, with the goal to next week have you walk 10 minutes and then jog five minutes alternating to see how that feels. We can go from there.
