NovOS Week 6 -- Core and Body Comp Thread

So begins another week in the Haus.  Like many others, last week was bumpy with the holiday travel and all.  So let's get back in gear and beat on the mid-section again before the next holiday rolls around.  

Got my core done last night but I had to go back to my super top secret hack to address a chronic issue with my left glut-TFL- ext rotators-ilio/psoas

Wt is back to where I started at 162 - Yikes!! Need to start over...........

Pushps 30-20-30-20 (std-mil-std-mil)

Cordz: 4 x 25 (catch-straight-catch-straight)

Planks 4 x 1:30 (L-R-L-R)

Then 60 minutes of additional pelvic/core/lumbar work to address my weaknesses.

  • Totally missed out on week 5 but weight remains at 185 which is where i started the month, could have been worse

  •     Friday workout done. Shoulders had gotten sore from all the pushups but seem to be adapting now.

        Bwt: 198, Start 200, Goal 190, reset after Thanksgiving blowout.

        Planks: Today tri @ 2:30's sides @ 1:15's= 10'   Total: 74:20

        Bandz:Today all sets 45's= 180   Total: 1305

        Pushups: Today all sets 30= 120   Total: 1094

        Pullups: Today 4x5+1=21   Total: 178

  • Travelling for work last week and extending into the coming week. Good thing I packed the Cordz in one carry on bag!

    FYI, you can wrap your Cords on a Marriott Courtyard balcony railing and pull through the balcony door opening.
  • Weight went off course over thanksgiving. Finally caved in and started tracking calories using LoseIt and lost 1lb as a result. Still above where I was but heading in the right direction.
    I have noticed the standard push ups to be slightly easier, everything else is still really hard. image

  • Back to pre-thanksgiving weight. It could have been worse. I got the planks, cordz, and pushups some on Monday and did weights on Friday. I'm going to substitute weights and core work from her on out since I'm getting to be an old fart. ??
