Good recovery snack
I just tried something new for my recovery. It was delicious !!! So I thought I would share
egg whites
1 scoop of whey choc protein powder
1 banana
6 strawberries
a dollop of greek yogurt
Cook the egg white mix with protein powder in a pan like a pancake. I cooked the straw,banana, added a bit of water in a pot till warm. Added the greek yogurt after. Place the pancake on plate and add the banana,straw mix on top, close it like a crepe and enjoy !
Yummy, full of protein goodness !!

I read in a mag that this smoothie conconction is good for recovery -- and I make it a lot: choc milk, peanut butter, banana. I used to make choc milk and have a pnut butter honey and banana sandwich... but this makes it easier... and it's good. (I need to check out other smoothie recipes in the women's thread...
bought the runner's palate (or maybe it's athlete's palate) - a book promoted by runner's world. I admit I haven't made any of the recipes yet, but they break down the recipes into training/recovery which I thought was interesting.
