  • knowing that most of the wko's for wk 17 & 18 are listed as "I".....it made the decision to bag the FTP test last nite difficult....however the legs were still trashed from a hard weekend.....chose an ez 20' spin just to get the blood flowing....legs and mind feeling much better today....now I'm ready for the last 10 day hard push....actually lookng forward to 120' on TM tonite
  • Don't feel bad, I bagged it too because I didn't feel 95-100% that I need to get through a test. But I did do a 90 min hard Spinerval DVD for TSS = 99. And I'm only tapering for a week since I'm doubling with the FL 70.3.

Me too, Paul. I'm training straight through PR70.3 on my way to NOLA70.3 a month later!

  • You know what wasn't fun, running 11 miles on the treadmill last night. But, it is done. And, I hit all my paces.
By the end I was wishing that I could just run the leg on the treadmill in San Juan because I don have the confidence in my pacing.
Such a good feeling to have a good run RR and swim RR too. Do I wish I was faster? Sure. But, I am not. I am glad to be able to participate in this crazy sport though.

Would love to race NOLA! You guys have to post pics and describe finish line fun!
  • Mary that run course is hot and hilly so it's definitely an RPE or HR and not a pace based kinda course.
  • @ Robert, Thanks for the reminder. I know this and it is important to remember for race planning. I guess i have been feeling so frustrated during some of my workouts lately that it felt really good to have the feeling of accomplishment of completing one as written.

Truth be told, I am terrified that my run will not be consistent. I am already slow so it's not that i have delusions of grandeur but I have had great difficulty completing a run at a consistent pace. My goal for this race is to be consistent. And, with the temps we have here in Jersey this week, hot sounds so so incredible.

  • Thanks Scott!
    Wow
Not long now. Going to do RR ride tonight and dropping bike off for shipping tomorrow
    Wow wow wow
