Anyone have info on the Marriott Courtyard in Waterbury or Heritage Hotel in Southbury? 

Likes or dislikes?  Bring bike into room, etc.

Steve, I can't remember where I stayed the last 2 years but it was 2 different places in Southbury about 4-5 miles away .... They were both fine, convenient enough. I havent made reservations yet but should soon... I gotta regsiter for the OLY/HIM double too!

Stayed at the courtyard 2 years ago. Ross's were there too. Good place. convenient with no issues with the bikes.

Thanks for the info. Actually booked at both right now - need to get Carole's input but now is not the time.

Courtyards have always been decent and would expect the same in Waterbury, that's why I started there. Decent price too @ $109 plus tax.

The Heritage Hotel looked nice too and had more of a spa type setup. I was thinking Carole may want to ditch me for some TLC or just time by the pool. Slightly more expensive @ $159 plus tax.

@ Tim - I thought you already signed up.... I'm in for both. Should be fun.

@ Robert, you doing Quassy?

@Steve, Not yet but I'll be there... Went to register tonight.... Is "The Challenge" for $415 both events? I couldnt find a description and sent them an email.... I'm gonna race the OLY as hard as I can and see what's left for the HIM! Never done the HIM but have done the OLY last 2 years.

That is correct, the Challenge is entry to the Half and Oly at Quassy. Truly sorry about the confusion on this!! Registering for the Challenge would be the best bang for buck!

Steve it too 3 emails before they responded to me... Lil disappointed since I always have great experiences with Rev 3.... Sure hope its a slight bump the the growing pains with Challenge... Anyway all signed up for both... Havent reserved a room yet as I dont think it matters much anyway.

Glad your in.

Carole is not interested in the spa so no need for me to pay and extra $50/night at the Heritage. Will be canceling that res and will keep the Courtyard in Waterbury.

I've stayed at the Marriott Courtyard 2x and also the Hampton Inn 1x. Actually prefer the later. Not much going on by either hotel - being in Waterbury is nothing to write home about - and even though the Hampton Inn is actually just off the highway, it is closer to the race and an easy drive to anywhere you want to go.

Just made reservations at the Hampton Inn...... Stayed there last year and it was fine... Cant remember where I stayed the year before.
