Eric B's Training Micro Thread

Hi Coach Patrick.  Very nice speaking with you today.  As a reminder, John Withrow referred me to EN.  Appreciate the advice and support as I kick-off my training program... long range goal is IM CHAAT in September 2015 and next race for me is AmZoff long course (110 mile duathlon).  I'll hoop on to the holiday run challenge and then the Outseason training plan beginning 5-Jan.  thank you and have Merry Christmas and all teh best to you in 2015!

  • Eric, good to chat! Per our call, you'll want to do the Holiday Run Challenge for fun and keeping it light. Then load the Jan OS up starting on 1/5 (so end date is 3/12) and get to work. Check out the official OS Page here for details and deeper reading.

If you haven't already, please submit your Triathlon Season RoadMap™ to coach rich (under training plan) and he can set up your year; if you DID do that but you are off your plan for the late start, please resubmit to him and let him know you are starting the Jan OS and to modify your year accordingly!

Looking forward to working with you!

    Patrick

  • Hi Coach. I've visited the official OS pages and have printed off several articles that I will read over the next day or so (yes, I should read online and not print...). I'm a little overwhelmed by the website and trying to figure out where to find the schedule of OS workouts as well as how to update my triathlon season roadmap (and how to follow/what are my daily workouts etc.). Is there someone from EN who can spend 20 minutes with me today/tomorrow to navigate the site? it is clear to me that the site is real with content and probably easy to use... just hampered with work and limited time to figure out on my own.

    thank you!
  • Eric - i'm happy to help you out. You can text me here 6175133830.

There is also a new member central page on the website, which should be on the main page when you login, as well as under resources/new member Central. That page explains the six steps of how everything works and also include links to videos for you so you can watch and see how things work.

To answer you quickly, races are added to your TSR when you submit your survey to Coach Lynch. He then updates them for you, and gives you improved guidance for which plan to use and when. You can review and adjust your training plan on the training plan page itself. As you scroll down you'll see the name of your plan and next to it you will find a red button that says move/change your plan.

Clicking on that will allow you to choose the plane you want, in this case the outside, and then set the end date according to coach which is roadmap. Once the plan is loaded, you can use the drop-down have those two select any week in the future to view it and plan your schedule accordingly. I hope this helps, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
