  • Mary,

I'll give you a brief rundown...

Looks like you're starting the Jan OS on the 5th with most of us. Cool. You should have 'managed' your training plan, loaded up the 2015 Outseason plan so that it ends 14 weeks out, Apr 5th I think. It's possible that you could exit earlier to start another plan if you've already submitted a Season Planning Survey to Rich. Let's say you're ending on the Apr 5th date, tho.

Each week you will monitor this Jan OS Forum.
Normally, you'll see at least 2 'threads' per week....one bike sessions thread and one run sessions thread. This is fluid. There might be a FTP Test or Vdot test thread or any other type of question thread. So, it's not rigid. But, those 2 main threads will be your focus. That's where you'll post your workout progress, keeping it in the appropriate week. Again, not rigid. You can post questions about anything....your trainer broke so what to do? it's raining outside so should I go? How much espresso should I imbibe? Why am I draggin' butt? etc.

You don't need to post your own thread. That would be overkill for the forum. The coaches aren't monitorring every little post we put in. That's where the experience of some Wicked Smart Members come into play. There's a ton of help in da Haus that might not be called Rich or Patrick. If the Wicked Smart Members (WSM"s!) or any others can't help you in a way that you see fit, then shoot over to the Micro or Macro Threads in the General Training Discussions. That's where we ask them, the all-knowing Coach, what we need to adjust for the season (Macro/ change in Race Schedule) or for the week (Micro/ work schedule or family schedule conflicts gonna jack your training schedule).

That's just a few tips that I'm sure others might add to. Hope I didn't waste your time with stuff you were starting to figure out.

Give it a couple of days. By the time we're 2 weeks into the OS, you'll see how it goes.
