Marc's Macro Thread

The only major thing I have planned for 2015 is the Tour of California Camp. With 18 weeks till the camp, any suggestions on how to structure my training?

I'm not swimming, and only running 3x a week max. Not training for any particular running races, but I like to keep up my running fitness for the occasional 5/10K.

Also the closest thing I get to climbing around FL is rollers, so any help on preparing for the ToC climbing would be appreciated.

Thanks for any suggestions!

-Marc

    Hey Marc,

A combination of the OS plan, but light-ish on the running, and then Bike Focus plan would be good. For example, considering doing all/most of the OS plan and then switching to the BF plan when what's done.

Just show up strong, light, with good gearing on your bike, and follow the core guidance that's in the OS plan. The later weeks will include some lower back stuff which will do a lot to helping you manage all of the climbing. Other than that, there's no real secret to being a stronger climber. It's just physics, gearing, and mental perspective.

    Ready for the GMR rematch,
