Keeling Micro next week structure

I am traveling the entire week of Jan 5th. I complete my testing last week in prep for being gone the 1st week of OS. I will not have access to my bike. Will only have access to hotel stationary bikes, treadmills, and occasional YMCA pool. I am in Minneapolis so weather is not that great to be outside, sub-zero weather.
How can I tweak this week to stay on track and get decent workouts in?

  • Mark - I hope you found a few of our members out there...we have a few you might find on the Member Map (http://j.mp/1yse60z). Anyway, I suggest you follow the rhythm of the OS as best you can. So the stationary bike isn't great, but you can do "hard work" on it to the best of your ability (or find a spin class). The biggest casualty will be Sat/Sun longer workouts...just do the main set here, don't force them as I don't want you to do too much in a less-than-ideal set up.

    Our usual travel guidance is to have you run, with a focus on frequency, but given the cold and the variety you do have, I think your plan is good.

    When you come back, just pick up with week 2, and remember, try not to exercise either on the day of (or after) travel so your body can recover!
