Road bike for tris

I'm curious - 

Anyone use their road bike with aero bars in your races for all distances? 

I do and always have (since 1989).

For my first few years, I used a Trek 1200 (now called a 1.2) with clip-on aerobars for all my races. Then I bought a tri bike and use it for my races.

I know lots of people that use road bikes for everything!

BTW, I'm gonna have to make my way to your neck of the woods one of these days to see the new Sierra Nevada Brewery out there! (I'm from the Chico CA area, originally).
