Some good miles that were supposed to be done Wed got done Thursday morning. Averaged a bit over 6:10. Not sure I could really do a 5K at that pace yet, but it was a good workout.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read today's run-workout ... just and plain a 60' Z1 easy run ... no strides, no Z4/5, no uphill sprints ... nothing! So after I had a super intense bike workout a few hours before and just couldn't eat as much as I would have needed I went out for this run. I wasn't looking at my Garmin during the whole run and just run by feel but it was far from EASY physically even some passersby told me it looks so easy and smooth On the last 5k I found a pretty good groove and wanted to push even more but was smart enough not to do it .... run ended after 55' covering almost 13k @ 4:21/km which is about 25sec faster than my Z1 pace ... no wonder it DIDN'T feel easy
Got in a very rare for me before breakfast run. My body really does not like me doing that to it. 40min "easy" at 9:30 pace like Stefan did not feel easy. Just glad it is over and I got a run in this weekend.
35' brick run on the 'mill after yesterday's tough bike intervals. EZ pace and couldn't get to the full hour due to "life". Glad to get the bike and run done yesterday. Legs up this morning watching Despicable Me 2 with the kids.
Had to move some things around as I was out of town this weekend, sans bike. Took my rest days on Fri and Sat due to family obligations. Sunday, decided to do a MP run. Looking ahead to to the HIM plans, wanted to put in as much time in MP as I could. Did a 15' WU with strides then 50' @ MP which felt really good. No stress at all and could have gone longer. I feel better at MP than I do EP these days.
Bricked the run and even though the first 5 minutes felt pretty awful, I was actually enjoying myself on the treadmill and the body was feeling like it go for a while. Still trying to decide what run test to do next Sunday. Looks like a lot of people are doing a 5 km instead of a 10km or half marathon. It's going to in the -20's up here, so I am leaning toward something shorter on the treadmill. Good luck next week!
Bricked the run today but cut it a little short because I ended up doing a 2:15 bike outside. It was nice to just do an EZ jog and not worry about hitting a specific pace or intervals. A perfect Sunday jaunt.

Got in 4.8mi after the bike and just before sundown. Beautiful out with the 6+" of snow we got last night.
Ready for some recovery before test week!
