  • Trent...are you sandbagging for the ToC?

Sorry to hear Trent. Glad you are in 1 piece! What size bike do you ride? I might have one here for you to ride 56 and 58's. The 56 is a Cervelo R3, the 58 is a Guru Crono. They are yours to use and I can deliver it to Grass Valley/Nevada City and I will worry about getting it from Rich at the end of the ToC. Let me know if this works for you.

  • @chris... yeah I wonder the same thing.  This year has been crazy.  I almost got hit while running (had to jump into side ditch to avoid) and have had more close calls running this year than anything.  I do think you are right about the not judging our speed as we approach them but I was on a road with 45mph speed zone so probably didn't judge it right.  And as for the 27mph, that was the speed after I hit the brakes and was skidding to impact.

@Vince...  Thanks for the offer and appreciate it but I'm a midget and ride a 50 size bike.  This was on my Tri bike so for the ToC I'll have the road bike with the Di2 still ready to go for it.

  • @Trent...no problem. Glad you have it covered. See you in a few weeks.

  • Holy crap.  That's just terrifying.  Glad you alive and not broken.  Hopefully all the soreness will subside soon (maybe some whirlpool/sauna time might help loosen you up?).  I've had some near-misses over the years but other than doing an endo over a dog that ran out in front of me at 20mph one time many years ago I've been pretty lucky.  Sometimes I feel like my number has to come up sooner or later.  Give yourself a little time to heal up before hitting it hard again.
