Has anyone done the 70.3 in Foz du Iguacu?

I saw this area maybe 15 years ago and told my wife we should go back some time...and now she's talking about using a race as an excuse to go out there.  i guess I shouldn't complain.  :-)  Not sure about 2015 or 2016.  But I just wondered if anyone had been to this race and had any pointers about making it a good trip.  

(I was there on a completely guided businsess trip (yes, it really was...) and they booked the sightseeing.  We had a small conference at some little hotel not more than a mile from an entrance to the park on the Brazilian side.)
