  • Love the efficiency!!!!! image it's up to you. We don't worry about proper bricks until 6 weeks out from race day. So if you can brick them, great. I personally split them up, but that's b/c of my life.

    What do you think?
  • Is it 20' ez plus warm up? Sometimes WU included, sometimes not. Planning time accordingly.

I can run at lunch, so splitting them fine. but I'm weak off the bikeimage.

Btw. Did a 5k run test ( 9:29 pace) followed by 1000 yard swim test-1:51/yd t pace. Felt awesome!! Friday was bike test ( 23.8 mph 40 min). Got my HR zones. READY TO ROCK!!!
  • Does HR Trump pace in running? Thinking of Wednesday speed work,,,and tomorrow's ez run 12:24 is slower than my last marathon pace...

Or just give it a couple weeks?
  • I just read EN Racing with Pace. Explained what I needed to know. Great resource. Committed to following this plan ??image
  • Success so far this week-goal is to hit every workout propery.
Question. Did speed workout today. I averaged about :20 faster for my 400's ( 8:44 avg) and :15 faster for my 200s ( 7:56 avg). All were comfortably hard ; no problem executing last set. Felt solid; outdoor run really went by 'feel'

So-should I use these as a benchmark for subsequent intervals, or is there s science to slowing these down to the paces per my 5K test?
I don't retest for another few weeks.
  • Goal is always to run at your target pace OR "sustainably faster" (aka you can do that faster speed across the whole workout, not just for the first rep, etc.).

So the next time you have that workout run as you feel and just make sure the times are consistent! Just plse don't try to set any world records!!!!
