JOS 2015 WK 6: Core/Weight check in

How are the push ups and other core doing?

I have access to an 'In Body' machine which tracks your body comp.  I get a report monthly.  While I haven't lost weight over the last 6 weeks - I have increased my lean muscle mass.  Body fat has gone down...I still want to lose the weight....but happy to see the body comp numbers looking better.

  • I'm back on track down 2 lbs this week to 237, making it 12 for the OS.  I'm still hitting the gym 4X/week with my brother, but need to get in the core exercises done in addition to this.  I finally have secured some stretch cords for home so this should help getting this done. 

     

  • After a bad week falling off the horse (which started with the Super Bowl!), I seem to be back on track weight wise. I am hovering in the right range (175-179) despite going to two birthday parties in two days with cakes that looked too good not to try this early in the season. As the training ramps up, I hope to get to the 170-174 range.
  • Weight and body comp is staying the same (my fault and hopefully this week I fix it). Core work is improving. I'm building time/reps into each.
  • Weight down 2 pounds. I'm still making gains in the core w/o. I have been sticking with the Core Diet for about a month now. Seems to be working, getting a little easier to break bad habits.
  • I swam yesterday AM, got home late and only able to knock out 1 round of plank/cords/push-ups before being called away to family duties. Weight continues in right direction- 186. Will up date spread sheet later
  • Down to 170, my goal for the JOS. I will let it ride and set a new goal for the end of the JOS.
