Rimless Bifocal Sunglasses

I'm very myopic, so I need to wear contacts during all sporting activities. For years, I have vacillated between using a near vision contact in my L eye, far vision in my R for races and swimming, and simply far vision for other activities (mountain biking, skiing, road biking, carry reading glasses). But as my presbyopia gets worse with age, the near/far solution for racing is becoming more problematic. I need to be able to see my power meter and pace watch, be able to quickly repair a flat, and see with good depth of field down the road while traveling 20-35 mph tucked onto my aerobars. 

These rimless shades would seem to solve the problem while allowing full field of vision in the aero position.

Looks pretty good. I have trouble reading my watch and bike computer so these might be just the thing as well.

I've been riding and running with dual eyewear for a couple years now.
They are also very light.

Heh heh... Thought about that. Then I remembered: by age 40, the average person has ALREADY LOST 50% of the flexibility in the lens of the eye, thus reducing near vision. What % of EN members meet this medical definition of presbyopia?

I am 41 and neglected to mention I like the Garmin 1000 for cycling because it has the largest screen I could find....

Interestingly, I called the folks at dual eyewear because I have the opposite problem : my close vision is great (even with presbyopia) but my far vision sucks. I usually have progressive lenses with prescription at the top and clear glass at the bottom (the opposite of no prescription at the top and readers at the bottom). Unfortunately, they don't offer that in their glasses.

I guess my best option for the bike may be some rimless Ray Bans with prescription rimless lenses. I haven't found a pair for less than about $650. Ouch

@Dino - I was blind before I got old. My problem is that on the bike, I keep losing contacts during races. Just thinking that custom shades might be a solution. I guess maybe not given that I kind of need to see during the swim too.
