Then enter time, distance for the bike test. Then, to get 148, you'll need to enter in 156 as the FTP (as the system automatically takes 95% of the entered 20' test number). Then click save to your profile and you are all set!
Way to go!
Many thanks!!!
this was on the computrainer so no distance. will this still work?I put in the ftp of 156 (did this over 20 minutes). will figure out VO2 max (5 minute push) next time I do a ride... have to kind of fit it in when I can.
Hey coach, I made an amazing discovery! pretty embarrassing actually! I was not calibrating my power tap correctly. I had a Quarq previously and one would get on the bike and spin it up while hitting calibrate and then wait for it to zero. not so with Powertap. This explains my low low power numbers as I was probably not near zero when calibrating. discovered this while doing inside rides at Pedal Hard here in Austin.
I am betting my race numbers will be much better this year!
Also....
What is really cool is I take the scheduled workouts from my training plan and they are able to pretty much match it for the 60 minute ride. (This way I get to sweat with about 10 other people)
I have to do my long rides of course, on my own as the shop won't let me hang out there all day BTW, I doubt I can ever get two rides on the weekend on my schedule. can I just put the two together? I can ride out to a small town north of Austin and then ride back so it is a divided 70 miler...
thanks, Coach!
love to ride m bike
New test today on Computrainer. NP of 165 for 20 minutes
I did the 5 minute push last week but was so exhausted that I bonked before I could finish! Prior 5 minute test gave me 186
much more rested today
