IMTX Living Arrangements
I was just booking my in-laws a reservation for IMTX weekend at a local hotel, and wanted to know where people were staying? There are lots of hotels within really easy driving distance, but none left that I could find within easy walking distance.
if you don't mind a longer walk to transition, and a downright hike to the swim start, the Woodlands Resort still has rooms for about $260 per night (2 night minimum). It doesn't show up on any of the expedia/hotels.com type search engines, but they still have rooms if you call them direct. If I were staying there, I wouldn't plan to walk to the race that day as an athlete, but an athletic spectator probably wouldn't mind the walk. It's about a mile or so.
