XLab Torpedo/Garmin 1000 combo

I'm about to get a Garmin 1000 and was wondering how it fits with the XLab Torpedo 100/400 system. Looks like the Garmin 1000 is a bit longer than the 810. Can you still mount it on the 1/4 turn mount? Is the view of the Garmin unit obscured at all by the bottle? How's it working for you?
