2015 70.3 Texas Team Lunch

Hi gang, although I will not be on the ground for this event, I am working behind the scenes to find a location for lunch on Saturday, before the race.  If you have been to the location and can suggest a place, I would appreciate it. I will book the venue. All you will have to do is show up, eat, enjoy each others company and take a team pic after lunch.

Any suggestions?

In the meantime, can you all go to the EN Event sheet and fill in your info. TY.

    Brenda I am very familiar with Galveston. If all works out well the wife and I are going to buy a vacation house there in the not too distant future. I'm also the son-in-law of a professional chef. It's my major training issue. I have so much access to too many delicious calories. Two weekends ago I found myself at a gumbo contest for mardi gras.

    So that said my main recommendation would be the Mosquito Cafe in Galveston. I will be eating lunch there anyway at least one day. It's reasonably priced, has great food and a large variety. Look it up if you like. The best restaurant in town is Rudy and Paco's but that's a relatively expensive dinner place IMO. I will be there after the race having Red Snapper made one of many different ways. I think Paco has 4 or 5 red snapper dishes on the menu.

    We're not familiar w/ Galveston to recommend a place but Steve and I would love to meet up with the other EN athletes for lunch on Saturday!!!
