FL 70.3 Week 16 (again)
Sorry , made a mistake last week and called last week's thread week 16 (instead of 15).
Only 5 weeks to go. I hope combining busier training schedules with work and family life is going well for everyone and that everyone is starting to feel good about their SBR conditioning. Keep pushing a few more weeks before our final RR in wk 18 and then taper.
Got in the pool this morning for 2500 yds. Held a consistent 1:34 for the 100's and did negative split for the 200's. The 300's at the end were tough.

Good job everyone in your half marathons and race rehearsals. I was able to read the reports but didn't have the time to reply.
Did the week 16 long run this morning on the TM. Due to the time change, it only starts getting light enough to run outside around 7:20 and I do not like running in the dark. Did 15 miles, mostly zone 2, with the last 20 at zn3 and the last mile zn4. Was a tough run, better than last weeks but still not feeling as good as I did 2-3 weeks ago. Happy its done. The rest of the week will be slightly different than the plan calls for. I'm going to do the Sat ride tomorrow, possibly swim Saturday and Sunday Melissa and I are heading out to Clermont for a 2-3 hour ride.
Tom Z posted on ST today that WTC will host a practice swim with course set-up and lifeguards on SUNDAY, Mar 28, 9-11am. Unfortunately, that conflicts with the Florida Gran Fondo in San Antonio that morning and I'm already entered. Shoot me!
Jan, you win the prize for this week. 16 treadmill miles! Way to go.
I only had about 90 minutes for my long run today so got 11.3 miles in outside. Pretty much maintained Z2 the whole way. Not sure why it seemed as hard as it did.
If anyone is a winner, Missy was on the treadmill for 2 hours right next to me. Don't think I wouldve been able to make it through the run wihtout knowing she was doing the same painful workout
2015 Bib list has been posted on the website. http://www.ironman.com/~/media/4d1c11abd6e4432684bdc6dfce5cb6a1/2015 70 3 florida triclub 2 18.pdf
swim waves have also been posted : http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman-70.3/florida/athletes/swim-waves.aspx#axzz3UBam3RTl
Thanks for pointing that out. I just assumed the first wave was the pro start.
Got my long bike in today on the trainer. Didn't run due to a little soreness in my hip after my long run on Tuesday. Not sure what the deal is with that
Got back from a work conference yesterday.
Was gone all week but managed to get in 3 swims (in a SUPER chlorinated hotel pool, but at least it was proper 25meters so can't complain too much).
2 runs ... 1 in the AM after night of heavy drinking which was not pretty ... but the other a 15.7mi long run mostly along the Cumberland River in Nashville.
I'm calling it a win.
Getting back situated on the home front so off today but will do a long ride/run tomorrow ... tbd if I can make it outside, looks promising so fingers crossed.
No travel for next month so aim to get in a nice groove for this final build up and see what we all can do!
