Logging Workouts

OK, maybe I am just missing this in the forums ... cause I bet it is in there somewhere ... but how do you guys log your workouts?  Excel, notebook, app??  Just wondering.  I really have not been doing much logging but feel it would be beneficial and I need to start this week!!  Any tips or just hearing what you guys do would be great!  Thanks.

  • There are lots of ways depending on your comfort level with technology and whether you are a Mac or PC guy.

I personally am a Mac guy and I use a program called Rubitrack 3 which will import from your garmin or other device and functions similar to Trainingpeaks but the data is on your own computer rather than in the cloud. Traning peaks web site works well for some. some like Strava. A spreadsheet will work but it is a hassle for mde to enter all of that data... On the Mac, if you have a power meter, there is a free program called Golden Cheetah for looking at power data.
  • I use Garmin Connect, just download the data from my 910xt... Sometime I go in and comment on my WO as well... Works for me anyway...
  • Also,
It can get a little complicated to keep everything in 1 place when you need to download stuff from Trainerroad and Garmin connect and that is another reason that I use a stand-alone solution since I can import all of my workouts.

This is a pretty easy to use spreadsheet once you figure it out...
  • THank you, John. I knew there was a thread out there already on the topic. I appreciate you passing it along.
